Donation Receipt

If you are interested in a receipt for your donations of in-kind gifts for tax purposes, then we can help.

To ensure that you document everything appropriately, we ask that you consult with your tax preparer before filling out a receipt form. Various tax prep agencies require different information, so it's important that you provide them with the necessary documentation.

To get an idea of the gently used value of your items, go to www.bankrate.com

Below are a few pointers about creating a list of donated items for a receipt.

  • Please provide a list of items donated*

  • We can provide you with a form to list items, or you can make a list on your own.

  • Please include your name and address on the list.

  • Please print the information on the list.

  • Please provide a list to us in a timely fashion following the donation.

  • Donation trucks only sometimes have donation forms available at pick-up.

*The more detailed the list, the better for your documentation. When listing items, be sure to include how many of each item was given, i.e., shirts (2), pants (3), shoes (1).

For any questions, please call us at 301-739-1165.
