Chaplain Job Opening

Qualifications:

  •  Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and live a life consistent with God’s Word.

  • Must attend a local bible believing, teaching church consistent with The Hope Center statement of faith.

  • Must agree with Four States Christian Missions, Inc. statement of faith.

  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance relative to dress and hygiene consistent with The Hope Center policies.

  • Must be a man of integrity and have good character.

  • Must possess good people skills and communicate effectively.

  • Must have a compassionate heart for poor and hurting people. (Matt. 9:36)

  • Must have a good knowledge of the bible and be able to share that knowledge with troubled people seeking guidance with their problems.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • To work with all aspects of the Foundations Life Recovery program to accomplish the Hope Center’s purpose which is to see men come to faith in Christ and mature spiritually.

  •  Diligently ensure the Foundations Life Recovery program maintains its intended purpose to include biblical principles, discipline, addiction studies, counseling, as well as vocational training. 

  •  Patrol the premises regularly to maintain a visible presence and deter unsafe behavior.

  •  Monitor entrance/exit points, parking lots, and facility surroundings.

  •  Ensure all doors, gates, and access points are secure after hours.

  •  Address disruptive behavior with calm authority, de-escalating situations when possible.

  •  Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or calls for assistance, including emergency situations.

  •  Maintain written or digital logs of all security activities during shift.

  •  Monitor surveillance cameras and report unusual or suspicious activities.

  •  Collaborate with staff to support orderly transitions for guests and clients between programs or curfews.

  •   Contact emergency services or leadership personnel when necessary.

  •  Enforce facility guidelines and boundaries with grace and consistency.

  •  Uphold the mission, values, and faith of The Hope Center.

  •  Other duties as assigned by Administration
    Minimum Job Requirements:         

  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to live out Christian values in daily life.

  •  Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

  •  Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict with firmness and compassion.

  •  Good physical condition and ability to walk, stand, and perform patrols in all weather conditions.

  •  Reliable, alert, observant, and respectful in interactions with diverse populations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.
